I believe residents matter over investment interests. I continue to advocate for high standards, low density, and open spaces in any new development.
While I do embrace positive growth, I have always believed we must be careful to preserve what is special and unique about our town as we balance growth.
I believe attracting Class A office begins with high quality development.
We should focus on business retention over attracting new competing business.
We must continue to be fiscally responsible and keep Flower Mound tax rates low for residents.

Flower Mound is my home, where I grew up, where I chose to raise my family after graduating from college, where my husband, John, and I share 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and quite a few animals. Flower Mound was, is, and will always be my forever home.
I work in the private sector as a software engineer. For the last 37 years, I have commuted to Dallas, but have remained active in our community most of my life.
From the time I was a teenager until now, I’ve taught hundreds of Flower Mound children and adults the joy of riding horses on our very modest farm.
In addition to my dual careers, I’ve also volunteered in PTAs and served as president for several years, and volunteered in booster clubs for my kid’s sports teams, 4H project leader, and Girl Scouts leader.
For the last few years, I have served as President of the Flower Mound New Century Lions Club, which is a national service organization. We have been making a difference locally with vision, environmental, and other initiatives.
When my parents bought their property here in the 60;s, Flower Mound was totally rural with only 275 residents. I witnessed our growth to over 80 thousand during my lifetime here.
My family and I care very deeply for this town. Throughout the years, we have come in front of countless councils, speaking out for the residents, to ensure the Town maintains high standards, low density, and open spaces to avoid becoming another cookie-cutter suburb.
I again stand before you, as representative of the residents of Flower Mound, for these ideals: high standards, low density, and open spaces. I always embrace positive growth. My voting record on P&Z clearly shows that I believe residents matter over investment interests. While we collectively help bring quality economic development to Flower Mound, we need to continue to preserve what is special and unique about our town, as we balance this growth.
I like listening to different perspectives and finding common sense approaches. I look forward to the additional opportunity to learn more about our resident’s concerns.
I humbly ask Flower Mound residents for your vote on May 4th.

We have a roadmap for responsible growth in our town and it is the Master Plan. SMARTGrowth is the guiding plan that ensures that infrastructure will be in place ahead of development. I do not have to reinvent the wheel with a new idea for planning growth.
I have no intentions of stopping growth. I am excited about encouraging the quality growth that can add high-paying jobs. I am excited about developers that are concerned about maintaining the uniqueness of our community by working around our valuable old-growth trees and unusual topography and understand our expectations for green spaces --- not only interested in taking away our identity.
We must look at the policies that have allowed some of the uneven growth and the effects of those policies. You might not see the effects immediately, but the cumulative effects of uneven over-development without the supporting infrastructure will cost all of us in the long run.
My plan is to follow the principles that have already been provided to this town by our Master Plan and SMARTGrowth while continuing to partner with experts to bring in high-paying jobs and unique quality-of-life-enhancing businesses.
